I met two homeless guys today on my walk.

Nathan Gunn is on the left and Jack is on the right. I listened to Nathan tell his story for about 40 minutes. He told me many stories. The first was a story of how he is in stage 4 of throat cancer and probably won’t live to see his 40th birthday this year (October 5). There were stories of the cartel, stories of the women he had been with, and stories of his thirteen years doing time for a one year sentence. “Time gets longer when you kill three men”. The only time he has said he was sorry was to his own father, for what Nathan had put him through by going to jail.

He didn’t me for money, though he did of the people that walked past us. He made a dime. Nathan told me that he only had his picture taken three times before today and while I don’t necessarily believe it, he said that those three times were at the DOC (dept. of corrections).

Nathan said he was trying to make good impressions on everyone he met because he was “done doing bad”.
